CHAMBER CHAT – October 2019                                                                           B. Halfin  09/28/19

I love Summer, but regardless how the ragweed hits me, I always welcome the Fall with cooler weather, fairs, festivals and football.  The Fort Bend County Fair is still on thru October 6th and the Austin County Fair “Aiming for the Stars” slightly overlaps, taking off October 4-13th with the Parade on October 10th.  Get out and enjoy genuine live music, fair rides, shopping and rodeo entertainment, while supporting our youth. For schedules of the action, tap into and  October has local fun too! The Guardian Angel Catholic Church Annual Fall Harvest Festival & Bazaar is coming up on Sunday, October 20th.  BBQ, Homemade Desserts, Raffle, Games, Rides, Grand Auction with Dancing & Music ALL Day!  All this fun is followed by the monthly Wallis American Legion Post 200 PUBLIC DANCE featuring ‘ Lost Cause Band’ on October 26th, Saturday night and rounding out October is the annual HALLOWEEN Trunk and Treat on October 31st from 6-8pm, sponsored by the Wallis Chamber of Commerce at 6810 Guyler St – City Complex , so bring the kiddos by for a little ghoulish fun!
