Since Easter happen to fall on April Fools Day this year, I restrained myself from pulling any practical jokes on anyone and just enjoyed a beautiful Wallis Easter Sunday.
The 2018 WEE Hunt (Wallis Easter Egg Hunt) held on Palm Sunday, March 25th was a pretty windy affair, but that didn’t stop eager Easter Egg Hunters from taking the Brazos HS Cougar Football Field! The Wallis Cub Scouts Pack #1990 did a wonderful job starting things off by presenting the colors and Valerie Hahn performed an incredible rendition of the Nation Anthem. That’s a BIG voice coming from a small 12 year old Sealy girl and it was a pleasure to have her sing for us. THANK YOU Valerie and we hope to hear you singing in the future!!
For any fans of the show “FORGED in FIRE” there’s a treat for you on Saturday, April 7th at Phenix Knives in the historic 1891 Blacksmith Shop located at 305 E. Main St., Bellville, Texas. Bladesmiths from Seasons 1, 2, 3 & 4 will be there hosting demonstrations and meet fans. Hope the weather holds out, so while there enjoy the Bellville Market Days and also consider catching a tour of the Austin County Jail Museum; Tours available Saturday’s from 11am-3pm too.
