CHAMBER CHAT – March 2018 B. Halfin 03/12/18

We’re WALLIS PROUD of Wallis PD Officer Reyes for his unselfish deed, taking a Mother to Walmart for toys and a car seat following a traffic stop and paid for out of his pocket! Check out the Wallis PD Facebook for the story of Officer Reyes, whose generosity even made the Channel 13 News. THANK YOU Officer Reyes for setting a FANATIC example of compassion while on duty, the actions of a true HERO!

The Wallis Chamber Ribbon Cutting that celebrated the GRAND OPENING of Elan #3 on Saturday, March 3rd and our first ‘QUIK CLIP’ video shoot went smother than I expected. See how we did with the ELAN#3 Quik Clip, posted on Wallis Chamber Webpage and FB! We’ll be scheduling video profiles of our all our Business Members soon, which will be posted as we go. Thanks go out to our Wallis Chamber ‘Social Media Producer’ Greg Stuessel of Austin County News Online, for dragging me into the digital era.
The 2018 WEE Hunt (Wallis Easter Egg Hunt) is on with the Easter Bunny attending on Palm Sunday, March 25th at the Brazos High School Cougar Football Stadium. Registration is 12:00 to 1:15pm and the Egg Hunt starts with hundreds of eggs at 1:30pm with five age divisions for Children ages 1 to 9 Years Old. We’ll also draw raffle ticket prizes in each age category. Joining the hopping good time will be the Wallis Cub Scouts Pack #1990, selling food throughout the event. Volunteers are welcome, just come on out at 11:00am or make a monetary donation directly to the WEE Hunt, which contributes to the prizes for the kiddos. Contact Bernadette Parr @ 281-239-5203 for information. Please help support our local Cub Scouts and join us for this Easter season tradition.
