Preserving the Harvest Workshop

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office of Austin County will conduct a food preservation workshop on Friday, June 3, 2022, in the Sealy High School Home Economics Classroom in Sealy, Texas (2372 Championship Drive). An educational program on “Preserving the Harvest”, will include up-to-date techniques for both pressure and hot water bath canning.
The all-day session includes an educational program and hands-on activities where participants will pressure can a product and hot water bath can a salsa. Each participant will leave with 2 preserved products, “So Easy to Preserve” resource book, and class binder with recipes, resources, and tips.
The cost of the class is $80.00 for the all-day session (lunch is included) and the workshop is open to adults and youth, who are 8 years of age and up. The class will be limited to the first 20 individuals to register and submit payment at the Austin County Extension Office (800 E Wendt, Bellville). The deadline to register is Wednesday, May 25th.
