History at Night: Flight to the Sabine and the Runaway Scrape
January 23 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Join us as the Friends of San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site host our first History at Night evening of 2020 on Thursday, January 23 when Doug Kubicek and Carroll Scogin-Brincefield bring to life the confusion and terror of the Runaway Scrape by drawing on memoirs, diaries, the historical record, and more. These two historians have been working on a new book entitled “Flight to the Sabine: Memoirs of the Runaway Scrape” and this is a fantastic way to get a sneak peak and their research before the book hits shelves.
The museum will be open from 6:30 to 9:00 PM and the lecture will begin at 7:00 PM.
This event is free to the public, so invite a friend and come ready to learn!
