Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Services of Austin and Colorado Counties are partnering with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to host a Feathers, Furs, and Farming series on Friday, September 29, 2023. As part of the range and wildlife management series, this program will focus on white-tailed deer. Topics covered will include updates on Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD), habitat management, supplemental feeding, doe harvesting, learning to age deer on the hoof, and basic antler scoring. We will also have some fun with an aging quiz, so sharpen those skills!
If you are seeking TDA hours for your applicator license, there will be 1 General CEU available to pesticide applicators who attend. The event will be held at the Immaculate Conception German Catholic Church located at 1599 TX-159, Industry, Texas 78944. Registration will be from 1:00 -1:30 pm and the program from 1:30 pm until 5 pm. Cost of attendance is $15 per person or $20 per couple.
