Gardening Kids Kamp – Hosted by Bluebonnet Master Gardeners Association
The Bluebonnet Master Gardeners are pleased and proud to offer a one-week gardening education camp in Austin, Colorado, Fayette, and Washington Counties this June. The camp is an excellent 4-H record book activity! This is the third year that our volunteers have joined together to develop a unique, hands-on program with goals to promote a love of gardening, develop an appreciation for the environment, give back to the community and develop healthful eating habits.
Each camp will accept children ages 10 through 13 with a maximum of 20 students per county. Activities over the course of the week will include worm composing, entomology, soil & gardening, nutrition & kitchen management, and food preservation. Kids Kamp hours are 8:00 am to 12:00 pm Noon Monday through Friday, with hands-on activities, projects, and more each day.
Kids Kamp is offered for one week in each county that the Bluebonnet Master Gardeners Association Represents:
-Washington – June 3rd – June 7th
-Colorado – June 10th through June 14th
-Fayette – June 17th through June 21st
-Austin – June 24th through June 28th
