CHAMBER CHAT – February 2019                                               B. Halfin  01/27/19

Wallis Chamber Member GHSA (Greater Houston Soaring Association) – Glider Port had a significant theft on January 16th and need assistance to nab these crooks. The items stolen were a 2018 Kawasaki Mule Pro FXT Ranch Edition UTV, a 2018 Big Tex 18ft trailer with a unique deck stained a medium dark brown, plus a 2014 Miller Bobcat 250 welder/generator with only about 55 hours on it.  The GHSA is offering a $1,000 Reward for information leading to the return of these items.  Please contact Austin County Crime Stoppers at 979-865-2949 with any tips concerning this incident or any crimes.

It’s unfortunate, but there’s a criminal element most everywhere including the Wallis area.  Please take precautions to avoid you or a neighbor becoming a victim.  Call and report suspicious activities or questionable circumstances to the Wallis Police Dept. (979) 478-7111 or Austin County Sherriff Dispatch (979) 865-3111.  For dangerous or emergency situations don’t hesitate to Dial 911.

We all have a role in keeping the community safe and healthy, take actions to report situations.  It’s my view, if you see or know of illegal or bad behavior and do nothing about it, then you’ve approved of it.  Let’s all work together to keep Wallis and our surrounding community SAFE!!
