Many THANKS and Grateful Appreciation to EVERYONE that contributed to making the Wallis Chamber of Commerce annual Banquet – BIG BARN BASH on August 4th another success! Your attendance, Silent Auction donations and straight up contributions go a long way in supporting many Community initiatives such as, scholarships, Fair projects, WEE Hunt and the Christmas Parade. A special ‘Thanks’ to Ross Sheffield (BHS-Ag Teacher) and Mr. E for bringing out the old tractors and Larissa Plunto area representative for U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul, for securing a Table and auction item donations for us.

Wallis Chamber Officers/Board Member Elections are Monday October 1st at 7pm regular meeting in the Chamber Room located in the Wallis City Complex, Bldg. B. All interested in becoming an Officer and/or Board Member are encouraged to attend and join leadership of the Wallis Chamber.

October 6th 11am – Official Dedication of Abe & Lizzie Daily Park -4026 Nails Road, Simonton Two years ago Dr. Harold Daily of Houston, along with wife Joyce and daughter Laura, donated 68 acres of land for a park in north Fort Bend County, to be officially named after his parents Abe and Lizzie Daily that emigrated from Eastern Europe in the early 1900’s to escape persecution. Plans for the park include at least four baseball diamonds, two soccer fields and a nature preserve along the Brazos River.
